Forcare raises 5 million Euros from Prime Ventures
Thanks to VC funding, global supplier of eHealth software is able to drive innovation and accelerate international expansion
Forcare, developer of a software suite that seamlessly integrates existing healthcare systems, has acquired a growth capital of 5 million Euros from Prime Ventures. The funding, from one of the top investors in Europe, underlines the potential and innovative power of eHealth specialist Forcare.
Forcare will deploy the funding to drive global growth, expand its sales team and strengthen its worldwide position. The eHealth specialist will primarily focus on North America and European countries like Germany, France, Russia and the UK. Additionally, Forcare will use the capital to reinforce its technological lead in the field of innovative solutions for standards-based interoperability. The company developed and delivers a cloud platform with healthcare integration services for this. Forcare is also continuing to consolidate and extend its partner network. Large international companies such as IBM, Philips and McKesson are already part of this network.
"It is with great pleasure that Forcare announces the financing by one of the leading technology venture capital funds in Europe, Prime Ventures. This funding underlines and rewards the innovative power and growth potential of a relatively small company like ours," said Forcare CEO Harm-Jan Wessels. "With our philosophy of “Patient Empowered Collaborative Care”, we want our software suite to contribute to a better and more efficient healthcare industry on a global scale. This specifically means enhanced access to digital patient records, for both medical staff and patients."
"In recent years Forcare has achieved significant growth,” said Sake Bosch, managing partner at Prime Ventures. “With its unique products, and strong business partners, Forcare is well positioned to quickly expand internationally in a market that offers many opportunities."
Forcare develops software that contributes positively to healthcare and shifts the control of medical data back to patients. The Forcare solution offers both medical staff and patients secure and reliable access to digital health information. As a result, physicians are able to collaborate more efficiently. This strongly contributes to the safety and health of patients and allows healthcare institutions to reduce costs.
